Irfanview is a simple image editing program. For information about more advanced features, look at the tutorials linked to above. Below is information on how to use Irfanview to take a picutre of your what's on your computer screen.

When there is something on your screen that you'd like to take a picture of, click the printscreen button on your keyboard. It might say 'PrtScr' or 'Print Screen'
Open Irfanview
Click Edit/Paste (or ctrl-v)
You should see your entired desktop pasted into your Irfanview.
Type in a file name. Where is says 'save as type', select either .gif or .jpg You have now saved a 'screenshot'.

Tasks:

Take a screenshot of your desktop and email it to jefflebow@gmail.com as an attachment. If you're not sure how to attach a file using gmail. If you're not sure to attach a file, look at the Gmail Attachment Guide.
From now on, when you have a question about how do to something on the computer, you can send me a picture of what you're looking at and that will make it easier for me to help.
