For Twitter to be interesting, you need to follow people you're interested in.  Here are some place you might find interesting people to follow.

Don't be shy about following people.  It's very accepted to follow people you don't know.  They may or may not follow you back.  Either way it's OK and you can always 'unfollow' someone if you wish.

When you find a twitterer that you'd like to follow, click the follow button next to their name.


If you'd like to reply to one of their 'tweets', move the cursor to the bottom right portion of the tweet and 'reply' should appear. Click that.


If you want to add a particular tweet to your favorites, hold the curor over top right of the tweet and cick the star that appears.


You can send a tweet to someone anytime by sending it to @their-username (for example @efl537 or @jefflebow)


If you are following someone and they are following you, it is possible to send a direct message to someone
