VNU-Spring 2008 - Day6

  • Resource Surfing
I would like most of the class to spend some time looking through this collection of online resources. Try to find resources that most interest you and don't waste time on ones that don't (or that don't load quickly enough). You can add sites of interest to your Del.icio.us Bookmarks and save documents, pages, audio files, and presentaitons to your 'Materials Archive'.
  • Audio Production Training
While most of the class is doing that, I would like four 'audio specialists' who are interested in learning how to record audio files.  Each of you will need to be at a computer capable of producing and listening to audio. (switch computers with someone else if necessary).  Audio Specialists, Jeff will skype you to tell you more about what you'll be doing. When ready, please go to the Audio Resource Page to begin your training.
  • Recording VNU EFL537 Talk Shows
Break into four groups (one 'audio specialist' to each group).  The audio specialist will serve as a 'talk show host'.  The topic of the show is 'Intereting Resources you've found online and how you might use them in your work'.  Make sure everyone has a chance to speak and feel free to ask each other follow-up questions.  If you're more comffortable speaking in Vietnamese at times, that is OK.
Assignments
  • Publish a reading reflection on the EFL537.com website ( you can choose a reading from the Reading List)
  • Make sure your blog (Edublogs.org or Wordpress.com) is functioning, has at least one post, and is listed properly on your EFL537.com profile page
  • Experiment with recording audio and produce an mp3 file.  If successful, post it on the EFL537.com site (Create/Audio) - How to post audio on EFL537 Guide.
